Optimum's Installation
Pools must have patio blocks at each panel joint
The straight side of the oval pool is constructed from high strength 6061- T5 aluminum uprights which are reinforced by the concrete footing.
A concrete footing is needed with all ovals
24 INCHES OR LESS IN GROUND
- Round: No special requirements
- Oval: Concrete* footing under the length of the straight section (11-5/8’’ x 33’’ x length of straight section)
24 INCHES OR MORE IN GROUND
- Round: Concrete* collar needed (8’’ deep x 12’’ wide)
- Oval: Concrete* footing under the length of the straight section (11-5/8’’ x 33’’ x length of straight section) & Concrete* collar (8’’ deep x 12’’ wide)
30 INCHES OR MORE IN GROUND
- Round: Same requirements as 24 inches in ground
- Oval: Same requirements as 24 inches in ground. Straps are no longer necessary and a deep end can be built into the pool.
